This second session took place from April 22 to 30, from June 17 to 22 and from October 3 to 4, 1991. As a result of the deliberations the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Parties adopted the "Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty" with four annexes: Annex I on Environmental Impact Assessment, Annex II on Conservation of Antarctic Fauna and Flora, Annex III on Waste Disposal and Waste Management and Annex IV on Prevention of Marine Pollution.
