This map is the result of airborne surveys carried out in Nov.-Dec. 2002 as part of a collaborative project between Centro de Estudios Científicos (CECS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Armada de chile (Chilean Navy).

Includes ancillary maps: Arctic boundaries. Antarctica and the Southern Hemisphere. Seasonal sea ice extents and the Antarctic Polar Front.

This map is based on a very hi-resolution color satellite image especially made for Omega by Space Imaging.

Revised ed. This digital mosaic of 4,500 satellite scans shows detail of Antarctica's terrain. Includes insets that show the surface elevation, ice sheet thickness, ice flow velocity, sea ice movement and wind flow. Research stations are also shown.
